Karaoke Kick-Off
Join the fun and show your talents at the PTA’s Karaoke Kick-Off, Friday, October 29, 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., on the Ericson campus.
We will have professionally hosted Karaoke by 4 Aces Entertainment, and carnival-style games for the kid in all of us.
The Picnic People will provide the catering.
Admission will be $2.00 per person, free to Ericson students and PTA members. You will have the opportunity to join the PTA at the gate.
T-shirt Delivery
By special request, we will continue to accept orders for the 2004-05 Ericson T-shirts through Monday, October 11th!
This is a great opportunity for our students who will want them once they see their friends wearing them.
Shirts ordered by Friday, September 24th will be delivered October 6th. Students are encouraged to wear them on Thursday, October 7th for the special Leif Ericson Day Assembly.
Shirts order after Friday, September 24th will be delivered in late October.
Walk Your Kids to School
(At Least This One Time)
On October 6, Ericson PTA and SAFE KIDS San Diego will host a Safe Walk to School Program for Walk A Child To School Day. We encourage everyone to schedule the time to walk their children to school on that day, even to make arrangements to arrive late for work if need be. Yes, it’s that important.

Mira Mesa Street Fair
Ericson PTA will participate in the 6th Annual Mira Mesa Street Fair on Saturday, October 2, which runs from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Camino Ruiz between Mira Mesa Blvd. and New Salem St.
Our information booth will serve as headquarters for “Ericson Recycles,” a team of students and volunteers who will collect the recyclables at the street fair. Proceeds will go to Ericson Student Council.
In addition to an information booth, we will have last year’s white Ericson PTA shirts for sale.
The Mira Mesa High School Band will perform at 11:30 a.m. at the Music Stage in the Mira Mesa Library Parking Lot. There will be military vehicles on display for kids to climb at the north (New Salem) end of Camino Ruiz, kids’ rides at the south (Mira Mesa Blvd), and demonstrations of Marine Corps K-9 guard dogs in action on the field between the library and the office mall.
